Use catetin.ai with Siri and Shortcuts
On iPhone, you can ask Siri to log an expense, scan a receipt, or show your spending in catetin.ai. The same actions are available in the Shortcuts app, so you can also run them from your Home Screen, the Action Button, or Back Tap.
What you need
- An iPhone with the catetin.ai app installed.
- Open catetin.ai and sign in once, so Siri and Shortcuts can find the app's actions.
- Siri phrases are available in English only for now.
Siri phrases

Log an expense with Siri
- Say “Hey Siri, log an expense in catetin.ai”.
- When Siri asks “What did you spend?”, say what you bought and how much, for example “lunch 50k”.
- catetin.ai opens Chat and the AI records the transaction in your current group. This uses 1 chat quota, the same as typing the message yourself.
Use the Shortcuts app
The Shortcuts app lists three catetin.ai actions: Log Expense, Scan Receipt, and Show Spending. You can:
- Run an action straight from the Shortcuts app.
- Add an action to a shortcut and put it on your Home Screen for one-tap access.
- Assign a shortcut to the Action Button on iPhone models that have one (Settings → Action Button → Shortcut).
- Run a shortcut with Back Tap (Settings → Accessibility → Touch → Back Tap).
You can also search for “catetin” in Spotlight to see the same actions.
Sign-in and quota
- Signed out: the expense is queued and sent after you sign in.
- Chat quota used up: catetin.ai shows the quota prompt and keeps your text in the chat input, so you can send it later.
- Scanning a receipt uses 1 chat quota and 1 photo quota.
Availability
Siri and Shortcuts work on iPhone only. They are not available on Android, web, or desktop. On Android, you can add the catetin.ai home-screen widget to see your spending at a glance.
